drug interaction(s) of tizanidine with ciprofloxacin

Drug interactions: - coadministration of tizanidine with fluvoxamine or ciprofloxacin (CYP1A2 inhibitors), increases serum concentration of tizanidine & potentiates its hypotensive & sedative effects - no clinical studies of other CYP1A2 inhibitors on tizanidine have been done (2007) Management: - coadministration of tizanidine with fluvoxamine, ciprofloxacin & other CYP1A2 inhibitors (zileuton, other fluoroquinolones, antiarrythmics, cimetidine, famotidine, oral contraceptives, acyclovir & ticlopidine) should be avoided
