Drug interactions: 1) aliskiren potentiates adverse effects of ACE inhibitors: [3] a) symptomatic hypotension b) renal failure c) hyperkalemia 2) combining ACE inhibitor or ARB with aliskiren increases risk of stroke, renal complications, hyperkalemia, & hypotension in some patients with diabetes mellitus [2]
