Etiology:
- COPD
- obesity
- restrictive cardiomyopathy (NEJM knowledge+ claims no muffled heart sounds)
- pericarditis
- pericardial effusion (breast cancer & lung cancer most common)
- pericardial tamponade
- rheumatic fever
- pneumothorax
- acute myocardial infarction
- hypothyroidism
- Addison's disease
- panhypopituitarism
- hypovolemia
- beta-blocker toxicity
