Etiology:
- alcoholism (in men)
- schizophrenia
- right-hemisphere brain lesions
- dementia
a) Alzheimer disease
b) vascular dementia
c) dementia with Lewy bodies
d) non-demented individuals with Parkinson disease receiving dopaminergic agents (a few cases)
Management:
- in patients with Parkinson disease receiving dopaminergic agents, delusions resolved after medication withdrawal
