Function: - binds to ISRE-like element* of MYC P2 promoter * interferon-stimulated response element Structure: - contains 1 dDENN domain - contains 1 DENN domain - contains 2 PPR repeats (pentatricopeptide repeats) - contains 1 uDENN domain Compartment: nucleus Expression: - ubiquitous - expressed in bone marrow > peripheral blood lymphocytes > spleen - expression is growth- & cell cycle-dependent - highly expressed in fetal liver - induced by serum in low-passage fibroblasts Pathology: - in brain, breast & prostate expression higher in normal cells than in tumor cells
