Search
criteria for removal of intracranial pressure (ICP) monitor
1) if patient remains comatose, monitor is left in place for at least 4 days
2) ICP & pCO2 normal after
a) no need for mannitol for 24 hours
b) tapering of sedation
3) ICP should be normal for at least 24 hours prior to removal
