Indications: - shrinking a neoplasm that is unresectable due to its location, generally due to proximity to critical vascular structures [1] Clinical significance: - shrinking a previously unresectable neoplasm may allow an adequate plane of resection [1] Notes: - conversion chemotherapy differs from neoadjuvant chemotherapy in that the latter is provided to patients who have resectable disease preoperatively [1]
