Etiology: - chronic xerophthalmia - allergic conjunctivitis Pathology: - conjunctival irritation causes swelling with eventual stretching of the conjuntiva - redundant conjunctiva moves around on the eye with eyelid movement Clinical manifestations: - tearing - eye pain or discomfort - tired eyes Management: - supportive - conjunctivoplasty
