conjoint tendon (inguinal falx)
A common tendon of insertion of the transversus abdominis & internal oblique muscles into the crest & tubercle of the pubis & ileopectineal line. It is frequently largely muscular rather than aponeurotic & may be poorly developed. It forms the posterior wall of the medial inguinal canal.
