colipase (CLPS)
Function:
- cofactor of pancreatic lipase
- binds both micelles & lipase
- allows lipase to anchor itself to the lipid-water interface
- without colipase, lipase is washed off by bile salts, which have an inhibitory effect on the lipase
Structure: belongs to the colipase family
Compartment: secreted
Expression: expressed by the pancreas
