CO2 (carbon dioxide, carbonic anhydride)
A colourless, odorless gas. CO2 is called an acid anhydride or an "acid without water." -> occurs in the atmposphere as a result of the oxidation of carbon & carbon compounds
Uses:
1) As a respiratory stimulant
2) As the source of carbon for plants
3) Uesd in fire extinguishers.
