Etiology: - congenital syphilis Epidemiology: - occurs between 5-20 year of age - no gender specificity Pathology: - synovitis - joint effusions Clinical manifestations: - symmetrical joint swelling lasting up to 1 year - most commonly affects the knees - generally painless Management: - generally no disability - generally complete recovery
