Alzheimer's disease 9 month treatment, blind initially 1) risperidone 2) olanzapine 3) quitiapine 4) citalopram Protocol mimics routine clinical care Outcomes: - CGI, BPRS, NPI, Cornell depression - ADLs, life quality, caregiver burden, service utilization - AE, EPS, laboratory testing - cognition Results: 1) somewhat greater effectiveness of olanzapine counterbalanced by lower tolerability 2) < 1/2 of patients were compliant with antipsychotic agent
