Etiology:
1) keratitis
2) iritis
3) uveitis
Pathology:
- dilated conjunctival vessels
Clinical manifestations:
- circumferential redness of the eye around the border of the sclera & cornea (corneal limbus)
Differential diagnosis:
- diltate blood vessels of scleritis & episcleritis may involve a single quadrant of the eye [2]
