Pathology: - necrotic collagen & cartilage degeneration underlying an ulcer Clinical manifestations: 1) papule with central ulceration & crusting 2) occurs on the helix or antihelix of the ear 3) lesions are very painful Differential diagnosis: - commonly mistaken for basal cell carcinoma Management: - wedge-shaped excision removing portion of underyling cartilage
