The fibromuscular mass between the anal canal & the urogenital diaphragm in the median plane onto which several perineal muscles insert, namely - 1) external anal sphincter 2) superficial perineal muscles 3) deep transverse perineal muscle Notes: Midline episotomies extend into this body.
