caramiphen/phenylpropanolamine (Tuss-Ornade, Spansule)
Tradenames: Tuss-Ornade, Spansule. Caramiphen edisylate 40 mg + phenylpropanolamine hydrochloride 75 mg.
Indications:
- symptomatic relief of cough & nasal congestion due to the common cold
Contraindications:
1) hypersensitivity to caramiphen or phenylpropanolamine
2) concurrent MAO therapy
3) bronchial asthma
4) severe hypertension
Dosage: 1 capsule every 12 hours.
