Tradenames: Mentax, Lotrimin Ultra.
Indications:
-> fungal infections of the skin
a) tinea pedis (athlete's foot)
b) tinea corporis (ringworm of the body)
c) tinea cruris (jock itch)
Contraindications:
pregnancy-category B
safety in lactation ?
Dosage: 1% cream to area QD.
Mechanism of action:
1) fungicidal
2) remains active in the skin for at least a week after cessation of use [3]
