Indications: - structural or functional abnormalities of the larynx, trachea, &/or bronchi, including: a) bronchiectasis b) hemoptysis c) tracheoesophageal fistula d) pulmonary neoplasms e) chronic pneumonia f) chronic bronchitis Procedure: - radiographic studies of the tracheobronchial tree following administration of a radiopaque material, generally an iodinated compound in a viscous suspension Epidemiology: - now infrequently done due to availability of computed tomography (CT)
