a mixture of proteolytic enzymes found in pineapples (Ananas comosus) Uses: - used to reduce inflammation associated with tendonitis, sprains, strains, & other minor sports injuries - may be useful for wound debridement - may be useful for treatment of sinusitus & nasal swelling - may be useful for treatment of indigestion - may be useful for treatment of arthritis Notes: - found in pineapple, but not in high enough doses to have a medicinal effect
