Etiology: unknown
Clinical manifestations:
1) fever/chills (irregular)
2) enlarged & tender spleen
3) enlarged & tender liver
4) retinal hemorrhages
5) jaundice
6) shock
Laboratory:
1) hemoglobinuria
2) Plasmodium falciparum in blood smears
