Indications:
- treatment of chronic hepatitis B infection
* sustained HBsAg & HBV DNA loss in 9- 10% of patients
Dosage:
- 300 mg per week for 24 weeks
Mechanism of action:
- antisense oligonucleotide that targets all hepatitis B virus messenger RNAs
- decreases levels of hepatitis B viral proteins
