benzoyl peroxide/erythromycin (Benzamycin)
Topical erythromycin 30 mg plus benzoyl peroxide 50 mg/g.
Indications: topical control of acne Apply BID-QHS.
Adverse effects:
- not common (1-10%)
- erythema, desquamation, dryness, pruritus, oily skin, burning sensation, tenderness, eye irritation
Drug interactions:
- avoid concurrent use of desquamating or abrasive agents
