A cyst of Bartholin's gland(s). Epidemiology: - common Pathology: - obstruction of Bartholin's gland ducts Clinical manifestations: - relatively painless - may become painful with abscess formation Laboratory: - testing for sexually transmitted disease - GenProbe for GC/chlamydia - RPR or VRDL - HIV1 ELISA - Pap Smear Complications: - Bartholin's abscess Management: - Sitz baths - treat abscess - surgical drainage - marsupialization
