bag-mask ventilation
Temporary ventilation support for patients with respiratory failure. Generally used in connection with oxygen. Successful bag-mask ventilation may be defined as end-teal CO2 that rises 10 mm Hg then falls to baseline with each breath without exceeding 20 mm H2O inspiratory pressure.
Dentures improve the effectiveness of bag-mask ventilation, [1] which come out for endotracheal intubation.
