Origin: ophthalmic artery Branches: -> the artery divides into approximately 15-20 branches that penetrate the sclera adjacent to the optic nerve Distribution: choroid & ciliary processes Anastomoses: 1) long posterior ciliary artery 2) central retinal artery 3) anterior ciliary artery Course: - one of approximately 7 branches of the ophthalmic artery that pass around the optic nerve to supply the eyeball
