Origin: basilar artery Distribution: 1) cortex, medullary center & central nuclei of cerebellum 2) branches to pons, superior cerebellar peduncle, inferior colliculus of midbrain Pathology: vertebrobasilar stroke (occlusion) - nausea/vomiting - vertigo - ipsilateral limb ataxia - diplopia - contrapulsion of saccades - Horner syndrome - facial hemianesthesia - contralateral hemianesthesia
