anti-Staphylococcal vaccine

Protein-conjugated vaccine incorporating capsular polysaccharides from the 2 most common Staphylococcus aureus isolates. Staphylococcal polysaccharides are poor antigens. 57% reduction in Staphylococcal bacteremia in immunized dialysis patients 3-40 weeks after immunization. No reduction after 1 or 2 years. Antibody levels are consistent with clinical findings.
