annexin A5, annexin V, endonexin-2, lipocortin-5, vascular anticoagulant alpha (VAC-alpha), anchorin-C2, thromboplastin inhibitor, calphobindin-1, placental anticoagulant protein-1 (PAP-I)

Function: - anticoagulant protein - acts as an indirect inhibitor of thromboplastin - binds ATRX & EIF5B (putative) Structure: - monomer - a pair of annexin repeats may form one binding site for Ca+2 & phospholipid - belongs to the annexin family - contains 4 annexin repeats - 3D structure described in [2] - almost entirely alpha-helical - each of the 4 repeats is folded into a compact domain of similar structure Note: - independently sequenced by at least 7 groups under different names
