angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AILD)
Classification:
1) working formulation:
- diffuse, mixed small & large cell lymphoma
- large cell immunoblastic lymphoma.
2) Kiel classification: angioimmunoblastic (AILD)
Pathology:
1) obliteration of lymph node architecture
2) proliferation of mature lymphocytes, plasma cells & immunoblasts
3) PAS +/eosinophilic sludgy material
4) vascular proliferation, small vessels, with endothelial proliferation
5) immunophenotype:
- T-cell associated antigens, usually CD4+
Genetics:
- TCR genes rearranged in ~75%, IgH in~10%
Clinical manifestations:
1) lymphadenopathy
2) extranodal disease
3) skin manifestations
