Indications: mild stimulant to treat or prevent fainting
Dosage: placed under the nose & inhaled
0.4 mL crushable glass perles
Adverse effects:
- not common (1-10%)
- nasal burning, coughing, nausea/vomiting
Mechanism of action:
- reflex respiratory stimulation induced by irritation of the nasal & esophageal membranes
