Altitude trial halted early, concluding that aliskiren should not be used in combination with ACE inhibitor or ARB [2] (see aliskiren)
Indications: hypertension
Adverse effects:

Mechanism of action:
- valsartan blocks angiotensin 2 receptors
- aliskiren directly inhibits renin
