Epidemiology:
- middle-aged women, generally postmenopausal
Pathology:
- multiple tender lipomas arising in adulthood
Clinical manifestations:
- multiple painful or tender circumscribed or diffuse fatty deposits
- obesity
- easy bruisability, ecchymoses
- neurosis
- sleep disturbances, impaired memory, depression, difficulty concentrating, anxiety,
- rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, diabetes, bloating, constipation, fatigue, weakness, joint aches [2]
