Etiology: - pregnancy Pathology: 1) fibrin thrombi in glomerular capillaries 2) glomerular necrosis Clinical manifestations: - anuria & hematuria or the presence of oliguria for > 1 week suggest acute cortical necrosis Laboratory: - renal biopsy (rarely necessary) Management: 1) supportive 2) prognosis poor
