Function: 1) role in packaging & condensation of acrosin zymogen in acrosomal matrix via its association with acrosin (proacrosin) 2) binds acrosin (proacrosin) 3) phosphorylated on Tyr residues in capacitated sperm Structure: - N-terminus is blocked Compartment: - secreted, acrosome - colocalizes with acrosin (proacrosin) in acrosome of sperm Expression: restricted to testis in normal tissue Pathology: - expressed in a wide spectrum of cancers, including bladder cancer, breast cancer, liver cancer, lung cancer & colon cancer
