Indications: wound debridement
Contraindications: -infected, unstageable ulcer
Complications:
- use as a wound dressing delays wound healing & increases pain with dressing changes (GRS9) [2]
Mechanism of action:
1) dressings are applied moist & removed when dry
2) devitalized tissue adheres to dried dressing & is removed with the dressing
