wee1 proto-oncogene protein

Function: - promotes inhibitory phosphorylation of p34cdc2 (CDK1) subunit of MPF on T14 & Y15 in yeast, only of Y15 in human (apparently a separate serine/threonine kinase phosphorylates T14 of CDK1 & CDK2)
