Wechsler memory scale

Commonly used batteries of memory measures similar to WAIS. Disadvantages: 1) not best memory test for evaluating elderly 2) focuses on attention & immediate recall* 3) combination of verbal & visual tests# * testing of elderly need to focus on delayed recall # in the elderly, there is a significant decline in visual, but not verbal skills Notes: The subsets paired-associate learning & logical memory tests may be useful for evaluating elderly patients.
