Indications:
- skin lesion refractory to medical therapy
Procedure:
- derives its name from the appearance of the postoperative wound
- after an incision is made in the shape of a 'V', the apex of the 'V' is closed by advancing the central portion
- this leaves a scar that looks like a 'Y'.
