Bruch's membrane (lamina basalis choroideae, Henle membrane, vitreous lamella or membrane)

The basal lamina of the retinal pigment epithelium in contact with the choroid. It is nearly transparent & structureless. Pathology: - contains ophthalmoscopically visible yellowish accumulations of protein & lipid (drusen) in patients with age-related macular degeneration
