Visicol (sodium phosphate)

Indications: -> sodium phosphate tablets for bowel cleansing Dosage: -> 20 tablets over 90 minutes, the evening before colonoscopy, plus 20 tablets the morning of colonoscopy Ginger ale (12 oz) following Visicol (after last evening & last morning tablet) may reduce residue interfering with colonoscopy. Adverse effects: -> seizures [3] electrolyte imbalance, use PEG in patients with a) heart failure b) ascites c) renal insufficiency d) intestinal obstruction e) colitis
