Etiology: - Rotavirus - Adenovirus - Calcivirus - norovirus/Norwal agent - Astrovirus - Coxsackie virus - Echovirus - Enterovirus - Torovirus Clinical manifestations: - nausea/vomiting early - watery diarrhea later - abdominal pain - diffuse tenderness without rebound or guarding - dehydration - fever - headache - generally 1-2 days in duration, but may last up to 10 days Management: 1) see diarrhea 2) fiber may be of benefit -> Isomil DF (IDF) infant formula
