vibegron (Gemtesa)

Indications: - treatment of overactive bladder with symptoms of urge urinary incontinence, & urinary frequency in adults Contraindecations: - not recommended for eGFR < 15 mL/min Dosage: - 75 mg PO QD Tabs: 75 mg (Tablet may be crushed & mixed with applesauce) Adverse effects: - most common > 2% - headache, urinary tract infection, nasopharyngitis, diarrhea, nausea, upper respiratory tract infection. - warning: urinary retention [1] Drug interactions: - digoxin: - measure serum digoxin concentrations before initiating GEMTESA - monitor serum digoxin concentrations to titrate digoxin dose Mechanism of action: - beta-3 adrenergic agonist
