Afferents:
Somatic sensory nucleus of CN 8.
1) paired nuclei located in posterior medulla medial to the cochlear nucleus
2) receives sensory input (equilibrium) from ear via the vestibular ganglion
3) projects fibers into the cerebellum
a) nodulus
b) flocculus
c) ventral parts of the uvula
d) small ventral parts of the lingula
