Vesicular or bullous lesions developing within patches of lichen planus or on otherwise normal skin in patients with lichen planus. In the latter case, direct immunofluorescence shows deposits of IgG along the epidermal basement membrane. Autoanti- bodies against basement membrane are also found in serum
