Lateral head of the quadriceps femoris. Origin: -> lateral lip of the linea aspera (femur) Insertion: -> via common tendon of the quadriceps femoris to the patella & by the patellar ligament to the tibial tuberosity Action: extends leg Innervation: femoral nerve
