Etiology: HIV
Epidemiology:
- most common spinal cord disorder in patients with HIV
Clinical manifestations:
1) leg weakness
2) sensory loss
3) spasticity
4) sphincter impairment
Differential diagnosis:
1) lymphoma
2) mycobacterial infection
3) toxoplasmosis
4) Cytomegalovirus (CMV)
General
spinal cord disease; myelopathy (disease/disorder primarily affecting spinal cord)
