Endoscopic examination of the ureters. (see cystoscopy) Indications: - urinary calculus - ureteral stone - ureteral neoplasm Procedure: - can remove stone with a small basket on the end of the endoscope Complications: - risk of infections associated with reprocessed urological endoscopes, including cystoscopes, ureteroscopes, & cystourethroscopes [2]
