Unna's boot (Gelocast)

Soft cast. Indications: - treatment of venous stasis ulcers Procedure: - inner layer of non-elastic zinc oxide bandage covered by an elastic, self-adherent wrap - with foot at 90 degrees, wrap bandage in spiral turns with a light tension from base of toes, stopping 1-2 inches below knee - wrap a leg with 75% overlapping layers - this covers the leg with at least 2 layers - smooth & mold bandage with hands while wrapping - cover Unna's boot with a elastic adhesive bandage to keep clothing clean - Unna's boot may be left in place for 7 days Notes: - active ingredients: calamine, glycerin, zinc oxide - other ingredients: - gelatin, imidazolidinyl urea, magnesium aluminum silicate, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, simethicone, sorbitol, water - packaging: 4 inches x 10 yards, 10.1 cm x 9.2 m
