ultrasound/microbubble therapy

Mechanism of action: - nonthermal, noninvasive, focused scanning ultrasound, coupled with intravenously injected microbubbles, stimulates transient openings in the blood brain barrier - the microbubbles are acoustically activated, expanding and contracting over several cycles, resulting in an opening of endothelial tight junctions & allowing movement across the blood brain barrier
